What file types can I upload?

Do you only handle purchase invoices, or sales invoices too?

Voltax is built for purchase invoices — invoices you received from suppliers. If you upload a sales invoice (one you issued to a customer), it's automatically detected and excluded from your results.

How does Voltax read my invoices?

Accepted Answer

Each invoice is read using AI, cross-checked against the ZATCA QR code where available, and checked for basic consistency (like whether the 15% VAT calculation matches). Rows that need a closer look are flagged so you can review them before exporting.

How reliable is the extracted data?

Accepted Answer

Voltax is built to be highly reliable: every field is either accurate or automatically flagged for your review if something looks uncertain. The one exception is the invoice number — because invoice formats vary so widely across suppliers, with no consistent standard for where or how it's printed, this is the only field that could occasionally be misread without triggering a flag. Every other field (dates, supplier, VAT number, taxable amount, VAT, total) will either be correct or clearly marked for you to check.

What do the colored rows in my results mean?

Amber rows were extracted purely by AI and are worth double-checking. Red rows failed our 15% VAT consistency check. Everything else has passed both checks.

Can I edit the extracted data before downloading?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Click "Edit Sheet" on your results table to correct any field, then "Save" before exporting.

What format can I export to?

Excel (.xlsx) or CSV — whichever your accounting workflow prefers.

Does Voltax detect duplicate invoices?

Accepted Answer

Yes — if the same invoice number and VAT number combination appears twice, the duplicate is automatically skipped and counted separately in your stats.

Is Voltax available in Arabic?

Yes, use the language toggle in the header to switch between English and Arabic, including full right-to-left layout.
